Terms of Service

1. Agreement

By using HeyCoach, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. What HeyCoach Is

HeyCoach is an AI-powered fitness coaching platform. We provide personalized workout programming, AI coaching conversations, workout tracking, progress analytics, gamification features, and push notifications. We are not a medical provider, licensed personal trainer, or healthcare service.

3. Health Disclaimer

HeyCoach provides fitness information and AI-generated workout suggestions for educational and informational purposes only. This is not medical advice. Consult a physician before starting any exercise program, especially if you have injuries, chronic conditions, or health concerns.

You exercise at your own risk. HeyCoach is not responsible for injuries sustained during workouts, whether following AI-generated plans or otherwise. Listen to your body and stop if you experience pain.

4. Accounts

• You must provide accurate account information.
• You are responsible for your account security and all activity under it.
• Notify us immediately of unauthorized access.
• You must be at least 13 years old to use HeyCoach.

5. AI Coaching

AI coaching responses are generated by third-party language models (such as Anthropic Claude). While we design the coaching system to be helpful and safe, AI responses may occasionally be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate for your specific situation. Use your own judgment and consult professionals for medical or injury-related decisions.

Your coaching conversations are stored to maintain context across sessions. You can request deletion of your conversation history by contacting us.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use HeyCoach for unlawful, abusive, or harmful purposes.
• Attempt to extract, reverse-engineer, or abuse the AI coaching system.
• Interfere with service operations or security.
• Impersonate others or misrepresent your identity.
• Use the service to generate content that violates third-party rights.

7. Notifications

By enabling push notifications, you agree to receive workout reminders, streak updates, coaching messages, and service announcements. You can disable notifications in the app or device settings at any time. Message and data rates may apply for SMS communications.

8. Intellectual Property

The HeyCoach service, including software, AI coaching system, branding, and design, is owned by HeyCoach or its licensors. Your workout data and coaching conversations remain yours. You grant us a license to use your data solely to provide and improve the service.

9. Subscription & Billing

Some features may require a paid subscription. Subscription terms, pricing, and billing are managed through the App Store or Google Play. Refunds are handled per the respective store's refund policy.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we reasonably believe your use creates risk for other users or the platform. You may delete your account at any time.

11. Disclaimers

HeyCoach is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee specific fitness results, continuous availability, or that AI coaching will be error-free.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, HeyCoach is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including injuries sustained during workouts. Our total liability is limited to the greater of amounts you paid us in the prior 12 months or $100.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms. Continued use after changes means you accept the revised Terms.
